Old Medina

A few Moroccan medinas offer such an interesting perspective on the diversity of Moroccan culture and history. Because of its uniqueness, Tetouan’s Medina has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. Walking around the city is both thrilling and fun! It’s also interesting to visit at quieter times of the day because it does change rather dramatically. Once in the Medina, you will walk through very narrow streets filled with shops selling all kinds of fruit, dried fruit, meat, live chicks, clothes, shoes etc. if you love outdoor markets, this would be an amazing experience.

Scuba Diving

There is a scuba diving club at the port where Arnaud, its French owner, will reveal to you the beauties hiding in the waters near Port Marina Smir, among which the underwater caves of Cabo Negro and Beliunesh’s transparent waters stand out.

Jawhara Smir Apartments

Jawhara Smir is a very popular development as it hosts Olympic sized pools for each phase and is only a stone throw away from the fantastic beach at Marina Smir. Marina Smir is Morocco’s equivalent to Puerto Banus. The area is full of bars, cafes, shops and great restaurant

Fishing

Marina Smir is also an excellent base port for the best offshore fishing such as red tuna fishing in the strait. Marina Smir has successfully hosted fishing competitions and a new edition is scheduled for spring next year, to which all lovers of this sport will be very welcome. Also to be organised within the framework of the fishing competition are gastronomic reunions, activities and day-trips to get to know the many charms of northern Morocco.
