Oukaimeden(77Km)
43 Km outside of marrakech, a fark in the road leads to Oukaimeden. As the road climbs for 34 Km to the slopes of the Toubkal mountain, vegetation becomes more and more sparse with rocks predominating at the top. This winter sports resort has snow cover from December to march, and chairlifts, toworpes and equipement rental are available. At an altitude of 2600 meters, Oukaimeden offers a panoramic view over the Haouz plains and the High Atlas range. Prehistoric rock carving near the resort’s entrance attest to how long the region has been populated.

Asni(47Km)
After having crossed the gorges in Moulay Ibrahim, one reaches Asni, tucked among the olive and almond tressa t the foot of Djebel Toubkal (4167m), the highest peak in North Africa. This charming little village offers a beautiful panorama over the entire region. After Asni, the altitude drops. Leaving Asni, you can travel 17 Km on dirt road to reach the village of Imlil or continue straight ahead to ouirgane.

Ouirgane(60Km)
This restful little village, hidden among the pine forests, is a wellknown étape gastronomique with pleasant guesthouses. It is also the starting pont for superb hikers ans horseback excursions toward yhe N’fis Gorges. From Ouirgane it’s possible to plan a trip to Taroudant and Taliouine (3hours) following the riverbed of the N’fis River. Along this route, you’ll find hamlets and kasbah set within a beautiful landscape that is alternatly barren and verdant.

Imi n’Ifri(90Km)
Arriving in Demnate, continue 5 Km along the narrow road along the Mehasseur River valley until you reach Imi N’Ifri, « Doors of the Abyss » in Berber. This remarkable site is the result of water erosion against rock. At the top of this monumental natural arch, flanked by gigantic stalactites and stalagmites, swarms of crows and piegeons circle.
